Nickel settled up amid expectations of deficit of 58,000 tonnes in the nickel market this year, compared to a shortage of 243,000 tonnes in 2018.
Global nickel demand is estimated at 2.4 million tonnes this year, the International Nickel Study Group said.
US and China have largely agreed on a mechanism to police any trade agreement they reach, including establishing new "enforcement offices".
Warehouse stock for Nickel at LME was at 178866mt that is down by -456mt.
