Crude palm oil gained on short covering after prices dropped amid cut in tariff value for the palm oil imports.
Indonesia's exports of palm and palm kernel oils rose 7.5 percent from a year earlier to 2.29 million tonnes, Indonesia's palm oil association said.
Exports of Malaysian palm oil products for July 1 to 31 fell 3.9 percent to 1,030,909 tonnes from 1,073,224 tonnes shipped between June 1 to 30.
