Ref soyoil prices gained tracking firmness in spot demand and overseas prices amid good physical demand ahead of festival season.
The government has slashed the base import prices of crude soyoil by $24 per tn to $800 per tonnes for the second fortnight of current month.
India's vegetable oil imports increased 3.5% on year to 1.39 mln tn in April.
At the Indore spot market in Madhya Pradesh, soyoil was steady at 756.9 Rupees per 10 kgs.
