Jeera trading range for the day is 16505-16975. Jeera gained on short covering after prices dropped due to hopes of bumper output on the back of favourable weather conditions and higher sowing. Jeera sowing in Gujarat jumped to 382,600 hectare from 286,030 hectare a year ago, according to data from Gujarat Agriculture Department. NCDEX accredited warehouses jeera stocks dropped by 231 tonnes to 10286 tonnes. In Unjha, a key spot market in Gujarat, jeera edged down by -9.05 Rupees to end at 19661.55 Rupees per 100 kg.
