Turmeric trading range for the day is 7358-7558. Turmeric prices gained on late short covering after prices dropped on expectation of arrival of new season crop. New crop supplies are likely to commence soon while export demand is at low ebb. As per preliminary estimates, output in the season is expected to decline slightly due to lower sowing area. In Nizamabad, a major spot market in AP, the price ended at 7606.25 Rupees dropped -42.4 Rupees.
