EPIC RESEARCH NCDEX CARDAMOM UPDATE OF 9 JANUARY 2017

Cardamom trading range for the day is 1474.3-1537.7. Cardamom prices ended with gains due to shrinkage in supply at auctions held in Kerala and Tamil Nadu. Harvesting in 85-90 per cent of the estates is over and whatever is left in 10-15 per cent of the area would be completed by mid-this month. Arrivals last week decreased to 286 tonnes from 447 tonnes the week before. Cardamom prices in spot market dropped by 6.30 rupees and settled at 1408.10 rupees.
