EPIC RESEARCH NCDEX MENTHAOIL UPDATE OF 6 JANUARY 2017

Menthaoil trading range for the day is 1033-1053.8. Mentha oil spot at Sambhal closed at 1126.50 per 1kg. Spot prices is down by Rs.-1.30/-. Mentha oil settled flat pairing its gains on late profit booking after prices gained on the back of pick-up in demand at the spot market. Besides, tight stocks position following restricted arrivals from major producing belts of Chandausi in Uttar Pradesh also limited downside. Total area under Mentha planting has dropped by 20% to 1.75 lakh ha this season resulting into a proportionate fall in Mentha oil production this year.
